Friday Afternoon Teaching Session Checklist APPCSW1 Day 1 Afternoon Checklist This is the day one checklist. Please arrive early to ensure that all of these items are in place and ready for they day one sessions. Day 1 Afternoon programThis is the correct order to complete the day 1 afternoon lectures and procedures. Afternoon Session* Select All Procedure lecture (pass out trach cannulas) Have students open suture kits Teach suture anatomy (how suture goes into needle, and where to load the needle on the needle driver) Have students load needle and verify they are loaded correctly. Students should place loaded needle drivers on suture pads Teach knot tying technique and 2-1, 1-1 method Break Suture Workshop (see below) Break Chest tube and needle decompression Shoulder and knee injections Students may go home after they have completed all procedures After the last student has left, pick up any loose objects, straighten the chairs, and identify hotel staff to lock the room up before you leave.
